We jump from a collage of primitive human life imagery to the a modern visual collage of a cycle of life as depicted by capturing single moments frozen in time via photographic technology. The last image displayed on the computer screen brings us into the digital age of our times. This says so many things: The collision of organic corporality with digi-tech is our current destiny. Though we begin this journey (with the severing of the umbilical cord) as biological and organic beings, all of our lives, rather we like it or not, are becoming digitized. Though the digital headline reads “TOP CEO DEAD” in a way he really isn’t. Eventually all of us will live on beyond this mortal coil in a digitized form. A form of immortality, perhaps, but this page is a subtle foreshadowing of the larger story of the Silver Cord…
